Mohammad Shahjan Meah, former first Vice President of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), died of old-age complications at his residence in Chattogram on Monday night reports BSS.
He was 71, family sources said. He is survived by wife, two daughters, only son BGMEA director Meraj-e-Mostafa and a host of relatives and admirers to moun his death. He was the Chairman of NLJ Fashion Ltd. He was buried at his family graveyard in Chattogram after two Namaz-e-Janaza’s.
In separate messages, President of BGMEA Rubana Huq, first vice President MA Salam and ward councilor Mohammad Gias Uddin expressed deep shock at the death of Shahjahan. They also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
