A leader of Chuadanga Government College unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was injured in an attack by some miscreants in front of Rahela Khatun Girls School at Jintala Mallikpara in the town on Thursday night.
The injured was identified as Shoyeb Rigan, 26, son of Azam Ali of Mojerpara area of the town.
Witnesses said that 4/5 miscreants swooped on Rigan while he was returning home by a motorbike around 11:30 pm. They stabbed Rigan indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured.
Later, he was taken to Sadar hospital from where the doctors referred him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
However, the reason behind the attack could not be known immediately.
Md Kalimullah, Add Police Super, confirmed the matter adding that they already have started a drive to detain the miscreants.
