A team of Bangladesh Coast Guard West Zone on Friday morning arrested three robbers of infamous Abrur Rab team with weapon and ammo at Hatia upazila.
Media Officer of Bangladesh Coast Guard Lieutenant Commander Amirul Haque during a press release informed that.
Lt Commander Amirul Haque said that acting on a tip-off, a team of Hatia BCG station led by Lieutenant ASM Lutfar Rahman conducted a raid at Tankir Khal area of Hatia upazila. Sensing the presence of law enforcement officials, robbers fired multiple rounds of bullets to them. BCG personnel returned fire and nabbed them.
During the drive, head of the gang Abdur Rab, Rahim and Robin were caught. 1 locally made pistol, 1 pipegun, 1 double barrel gun, 5 machetes, several bombs and amo were recovered from the scene.
Later the robbers and the seized items were handed over to Hatia Police Station.
Lt Commander Amirul Haque said that such drives will be continued to curb down the crime rate in the area.
