BCG increases patrolling in Bangladesh-Myanmar border

Bangladesh Coast Guard has increased patrolling to prevent any illegal infiltration from Myanmar to Bangladesh.  

Lieutenant Commander Khandakar Munif Toki, media officer of the Coast Guard Headquarters, gave this information on Sunday afternoon.

He said that the Bangladesh Coast Guard is on the highest alert so that the internal instability of the neighboring country does not create any adverse environment in the Teknaf border of Bangladesh. Bangladesh Coast Guard is in a strong position to prevent Rohingya infiltration in new ways including human trafficking, smuggling, drug trafficking. 

Bangladesh Coast Guard is working tirelessly to prevent the intruders taking advantage of the internal unrest in Myanmar. 

Along with the deployment of round-the-clock patrol ships in the sea, regular patrolling is going on day and night from Teknaf to Shahpari Island through modern high-speed boats. 

Also, the situation is being monitored round-the-clock by deploying additional personnel in Teknaf, Shahpari, Bahar­chhara and St. Martin. Bangladesh Coast Guard is taking responsibility to deal with any kind of situation and to provide flawless safety of life and property of the people of the country. 

Also, the Coast Guard is on alert with its own intelligence surveillance so that any kind of rumor or false propaganda cannot create any unwanted situation unrest.
