Textiles and Jute Minister Golam Dastgir Gazi said Bangladesh now has a better investment environment. The government has made great progress in the communication sector. New roads and bridges have been built. We built the Padma Bridge with our own money, resulting in an unprecedented improvement in communication. The government continues to provide all kinds of support to encourage investment in the country.

He said this on the second day of the ongoing Bangladesh Business Summit organized by FBCCI in a session titled ‘100 billion dollar income from the garment sector and what to do’ at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in the capital on Sunday. '

The minister said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is business friendly. The Prime Minister has given extensive support to the garment sector. Where the whole world came to a standstill due to the pandemic, the Prime Minister gave an incentive of Tk 5000 crore to keep it running. That is why our exports are increasing without any negative impact. Last year we exported USD 52 billion worth of goods. Hopefully, in the future, we will earn USD 100 billion in exports from garments.

Stating that the supply of fuel has already increased in the industries of the country, he said that the shortage of gas in the industries will be over in the next few days. Factories will have more gas pressure than ever before.
