Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Monday said Bangladesh has set a glaring example of giving equal opportunity to the people of all religions so that none can feel neglected.

“We are concerned enough to ensure that none of any religion feel neglected, and Bangladesh has set an example in the world to this end,” she said.

Observing that over-enthusiastic attitude regarding religious matters is unacceptable, the premier said our government wants that all the people of Bangladesh will independently follow their own religion with due respect.

Hasina said the responsibility of the state is to make sure that the people of all religions could perform their religious rituals peacefully and independently. "That’s secularism and non-communalism."

She also said, “The Creator will decide what is good or bad, and what is right or wrong. The Almighty didn’t give that responsibility to human being."

We want to keep Bangladesh free from these menaces and free it from poverty." she said.
