Bangladesh Media Forum completes registration

Bangladesh Media Forum (BMF), a platform for advertisers, agencies and media channels in the country, completed its registration process with Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms of Government of Bangladesh, says a press release. BMF now becomes a registered company under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. 

In this regard, BMF president Md Morshed Alam said the forum will continue its activities as an independent, nonprofit and progressive media research and implementation platform, the release adds.

He conveyed gratitude to all the advisors, founding members, supporters and well-wishers for their cooperation and expected to work towards a great future of the media industry in Bangladesh.

The founding committee members of BMF are: GroupM Bangladesh managing director Morshed Alam; Channel I sales and marketing director Ebne Hasan Khan; ACI Limited business director Md Quamrul Hassan; RTV CEO Syed Ashik Rahman: Top Of Mind CEO Ziauddin Adil; Applied Business Initiatives CEO Tanveer Faruq; Havas Media Bangladesh managing director Mazharul Haque Chowdhury; Grameenphone Ltd head of media and sponsorship Shikdar Akhtar-Uz-Zaman; Applied Business Initiatives CEO Tanveer Faruq; Bangladesh Brand Forum editor Shariful Islam; Mediacom Limited COO Ajoy Kumar Kundu; and Gazi TV managing director Aman Ashraf Faiz.

According to the release, BMF, in last three years, is relentlessly working to create a platform Where Bangladeshi media community can discuss, debate, and plan a more transparent and accountable media industry towards progress.

To do that the forum has taken different steps to promoting best practices towards commercial media management, educating and enhancing capability of the media industry professionals, developing data centric approach and promoting credible measurement system across media platforms (TV, Print, Radio, Digital, etc.)
