Education Minister Dipu Moni said that due to Ziaur Rahman's role in Bangabandhu's murder has made him known as the greatest villain not only to historians but to the entire nation.

On the occasion of National Mourning Day on Wednesday, she said this while addressing the chief guest at a discussion meeting titled 'Bangabandhu Assassination: National and International Conspiracy' organized by the Jagannath University (JUB) Teachers' Association in the central auditorium.

The Education Minister said, Bangabandhu was a unique example of democracy and humanity. Bangabandhu harbored the desire for freedom within himself and then spread it among the people. He wanted a separate independent land for the Bengali nation.

Following that, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is leading the country towards progress. As there are non-communal people in the country, there are also communal and anti-independence people. In contrast to non-communal Bangabandhu's ideology-based politics, there are communal politics, antagonism and non-political politics in the country.

The minister also said that the government is determined to develop the country. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has not taken any decisive decision. Despite the obstacles, he never felt the threat of his life. It is necessary to bring Awami League to power to ensure the continuity of people's progress.

As a special guest on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mo Imdadul Haque said that Bangabandhu wasted his life for the welfare of people since his childhood. After independence, Bangabandhu devoted himself completely to the work of changing the fate of the Bengali nation and building the country.
