Bakery worker electrocuted in Dhaka

A bakery worker was electrocuted while blending flour using electric machine at the bakery in the city’s Konapara area of Demra in Dhaka on Sunday, reports BSS.

The deceased was identified as Sajib Talukder (21), Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost in-charge Inspector Bachchu Mia said.

The body has been kept in DMCH morgue for autopsy, he said, adding that the concerned police station has been informed about the matter.

“Sajib was electrocuted while blending flour using electric machine at the bakery around 7am and subsequently was found in an unconscious state,” Sajib’s brother-in-law Abdur Razzaque said.

When the victim was rushed to DMCH with critical condition, the duty doctors declared him dead around 8am, Razzaque added. Sajib, son of Abdul Barek, hailed from Muralganj upazila of Khulna district. He was working at a bakery in the city’s Konapara area and living there.
