Muggers stabbed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver to death and snatched the rickshaw on Saturday midnight in Narayanganj's Char Kashipur area.
The deceased was identified as Yousuf,40, son of Ali Hossain, resident of Noakhali district and lived here as a tenant of Baburail area.
Soon after the incident police conducted a raid and arrested three criminals who were involved with killing and snatching Yusuf’s auto rickshaw and also recovered the rickshaw.
The arrested were identified as Mahbub,24, son of Tozammel Haq, Kawsar,22, son Akter Hossain and Amin,23, son Aynal who hailed from different districts and lived here as tenants. All the arrested area narcotics consumers and professional criminals, police claimed.
Deceased’s elder brother Abbasuddin filed a criminal case with the Faulla model police station in this connection.
Inspector Mohammad Mohshin said that the all three arrested accused will be produced before the court.
