A human chain was formed at Savar demanding immediate arrest of the accused, who violated teenaged boy week,
‘Socheton Savar Bashi’ and Savar New Market Traders Association jointly formed the human chain at Bazar Bus Stand area in Savar on Sunday.
People from the human chain said that Methun Sarker is accused of at least 14 cases including sexual harassment of youth, land grabbing and extortion.
On October 19, he violated a 18 years old youth after taking him to his own office at Radio Colony area in Savar. Later, the youth filed a case with Savar Model Police Station over the incident.
Contacted Saiful Islam, Inspector (investigation) of Savar Model Police Station said, “We are trying to arrest Methun but he went into hiding after the incident. We are hoping that, Methun will be arrested as soon as possible.
