Kaliakoir Upazila unit of Awami League accorded a mass reception to Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque at Kaliakoir Bazar in Gazipur on Saturday in honor of achievement of Freedom Medal.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Rasel MP, and former State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Meher Afroze Chumki MP were present at the event as special guests. Kamal Uddin Sikder, president of Kaliakoir Awami League and chairman of Kaliakoir Upazila Parishad, presided over the function.
A huge number of people joined the function.
Speaking at the event, AKM Mozammel Haque said that Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had loved him very much and he will do everything for the people. He dedicated his achievement Medal of Freedom for the people of Gazipur. He thanked the organisers of the function.
He said that a list of Razakars will be published by December.
A cultural programme also arranged at the end where singer Momtaz MP performed songs.
AKM Mozammel Haque MP, a freedom fighter, born at Dirasram village in Gazipur. During the liberation war on 19th March, 1971 he had a great role against Pakistan army.
