ACI Motors has been working relentlessly from 2007 to mechanize and modernize the agriculture sector of Bangladesh. As part of it, ACI Motors has introduced modern harvester “Yanmar” combine harvester produced by renowned Japanese agriculture machinery manufacturing company “Yanmar”.
To reach directly the farmers, ACI Motors has conducted a field demonstration programme at Bhoraduba of Bhaluka upazilla in Mymensingh recently.
Another combine harvester named ACI Combine Harvester 4LBZ-120-Plus was also displayed alongside “Yanmar” in the same occasion.
Executive Director of ACI Motors Subrata Ranjan Das, Project Director of Farm Mechanization Project, Seikh Md. Nazim Uddin, Professor of Bangladesh Agriculture University Dr. Mosharraf Hossain and top management of Yanmar, Japan attended the event.
Students from the Department of Agriculture Engineering of Bangladesh Agriculture University and some interested customers along with other members of ACI Motors were present in the programme.
Paddy of 1-acre land can be cut, reaped, threshed and stored by Yanmar harvester in 1 hour and consume 7-8 liters of diesel. ACI Combine Harvester “4LBZ-120” Plus takes 2 hours for the same functions. It can be mentioned that this harvester can also cut lying paddy.
50-70 percent government subsidy is available on the combine harvester. Government is providing 5-7 lakhs of subsidy on ACI Combine Harvester depending on the location of the customers.
