Accused of JL leader murder case yet not arrested

Four days have passed since the murder case of Jubo League activist Naeem Uddin Paltu in Chuadanga, but no accused has been arrested. 

Already, names of seven activists of the same party and about 12 others unknown have been registered with the Damurhuda police station.

Damurahuda Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sukumar Bishwas said that Jubo League activist Paltu was stabbed and beaten to death on Friday at Dorshona in the upazila. Paltu's brother Moinuddin Mantu filed a murder case at Damurhuda police station on Saturday.

The accused were identified as Asman Ali Tota, general secretary of Darshana Municipal Jubo League, Abdul Mannan Khan, co-secretary, Jubo League activist Dipu Reza, Saiful Islam Bangla, Md. Alam, Md Sohail, Md Ashiq and unanimous 10 to 12 persons.

On Friday afternoon, Naeem Uddin Paltu and his friend Manjurul Islam were sitting near the Dorshona Rail yard. During this time, some youths attacked on them where Paltu and Manjurul were injured critically. The locals rescued them and sent them to the Chuadanga Sadar Hospital where the duty doctor declared Paltu dead.
