Police detained six people with 5050 pieces of Yaba tablets by conducting a drive at Amarpur area of Savar, on the outskirts of the capital, on Thursday evening.
The detainees are Abdur Razzak Sarker, 45, Moajjem, 38, Saddam Hossen, 28, Kala Manik, 30, Sohel Sarder, 42, and Ashu Mia, 35.
Tahmudul Islam, Sub-inspector of Savar Model Police Statio, said that based on secret information, they conducted a drive and detained them at Amarpur area of Savar municipality in Savar around 7:00 pm on Thursday. After searching their bodies, they found 5050 pieces of Yaba tablets. A case was filed with Savar Model Police Station in this regard, he added.
