A tribunal in Khulna on Tuesday gave death sentence to five people for killing a man and his bank official daughter after rape.
Khulna Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-3 Judge Md Mohiduzzaman passed the order.
The convicts are: Saiful Islam Pitil and his brother Shariful, sons of Abdul jalil, Liton, 28, son of Abul Kalam, Abu Sayeed, 25, son of Wahidul Islam, Azizur Rahman Polash, 26, son of late Sekender. Among them, Shariful is absconding.
According to the case statement, miscreants entered the house of Iliyas Chowdhury at Buromoulvir Dargapara Road under Labanchara Police Station on September 18, 2015.
The gang first killed Iliyas Chowdhury, then raped her daughter Parvin Sultana and killed her.
The miscreants, later, dumped the bodies into a septic tank of their house.
Two different cases were filed in this connection. Police submitted charge sheet on March 24, 2016.
