Members of Rapid Action Battalion ( RAB ) carried out a drive at Ershad Nagar, Tongi, Gazipur and arrested 4 members of dope gang. They were arrested at 11: 30 last night (Monday).
The arrestees were identified as Md. sultan Miah 35, Md.Sawpan Miah 28,, Md.Monna Hossain 19, and Md. Nasir Uddin 28.
Members of the RAB got secret information that an organized dope gang were waiting for committing snatching at Ershad Nagar area.
On getting the information, the company commander of RAB 1, Abdullah Al Mamoon carried out the drive along with his forces in front of Bikrampur Sweerts at Ershad Nagar Baro Bazar 1, and arrested the members of dope gang.
RAB members recovered 3 knives, 8 small containers which were used to dope people, 2 mobile phones, and cash Tk.11, 200 from them.
The members of the dope gang confessed before RAB that they had been carrying out this profession of mugging and snatching in collusion with one another for a long time at different places of Gazipur.
