4 held with 2 lakh yaba pills

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have detained four alleged drug dealers from Teknaf upazila and Sadar upazila in Cox’s Bazar district on Saturday. The RAB also seized 2 lakh yaba tablets worth over Tk 10 crore.

In Teknaf, the drug dealer named Sabekunnahar, 25, was detained from Pallanpara area of Islamabad.

Company Commander of Teknaf Camp of RAB-15 Mirza Shahed Mahtab confirmed the matter. According to him, the RAB personnel recovered huge Yaba pills worth Tk 10 crore from residence of the woman following interrogation.

In Cox’s Bazar Sadar, the RAB personnel detained three drug traders with two thousand yaba pills from Marine City Complex area.

The detainees are Mohammad Shakir Mia, 27, son of Syed Alam of Kalarmarchora at Moheshkhali upazila, Mohammad Hasan, 20 of Borochara Daria area, and Mohammad Abdul Jalil, 28 of Cox's Bazar Bus Terminal area.

Deputy Captain of RAB Cox's Bazar camp Major Mohammad Rabiul Islam said that legal action will be taken against the detainees. Wing Commander Azim Ahmed briefed the media about this matter on Saturday night.
