Four children, who were detained and sent to child development center in connection with a rape case in Bakerganj, Barishal, reached their homes on Friday following a High Court order issued on Thursday night.
The authorities concerned sent the four boys on an air conditioned microbus from Jashore to Barishal and handed them over to their families in village Runshi in Bakerganj at around 8am, Supreme Court spokesperson Md Saifur Rahman told BSS.

A Barishal court sent the four boys, aged between six and seven years, to Children Development Centre in Jashore in a case lodged over allegedly raping their playmate.
As a private TV station aired a programme on the matter, the High Court asked Barishal juvenile court to grant the four kids bail and Jashore deputy commissioner’s office to send them to their families within the night.
The High Court also ordered Barishal senior judicial magistrate to appear before it in public on October 11 and asked Bakerganj Police Station officer in-charge also to appear and bring with them the parents and the four juvenile accused.
