3 killed in separate accidents in city

Three people have been killed in separate accidents across in the capital, reports BSS. The deceased were identified as music director Parvez Rab, 55, Rashed Hawlader, 20, and Jahangir Alam, 44.

The accidents were taken place in Uttara-Turag Beribadh area on Thursday and Magbazar today, said DMP Turag Thana Officer-in-charge M Nurul Mottakin on Friday. Jahangir died when a broiler machine fell on him from a truck at a CNG station early today in city’s Mogbazar area. On Thursday, in the capital’s Turag area, Parvez was killed as a bus hit him around 11 am, said Sub-Inspector of Turag Thana Nirmal Chandra Rai.

Parvez was trying to board a bus in front of East West Medical College Hospital. He was taken to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead, he added. Police seized the bus, but its driver managed to flee. Rashed, also died on Thursday when a passenger laden bus of ‘Asmani Paribahan’ hit him leaving dead, police said.
