Two members of a family were killed in a road accident in Paraichak area on Sylhet-Moulvibazar road on Thursday evening, reports BSS.
The deceased were identified as Bibijan, 65, and her grandnephew Rahat, 7, of Dawdpur village under Dakshin Surma upazila of the district.
Police said the accident occurred when a Kulaura-bound passengers bus hit them in the area as they were crossing the road, leaving them dead on the spot.
“The bodies were handed over to their family members after post-mortem at the morgue of Sylhet Osmani Medical College,” said Chahabul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Muglabazar Police Station, adding that a case was filed in this connection.
