Two men were held with about 8500 pieces of Yaba tablets at Srikhandia area in Ashulia of Savar on Wednesday evening.
The detainees are Atiyal Haque, 35, son of Shirazul Islam of Naodapar area at Roumari of Kurigram, and Shiuly Khatun, 31, daughter of Abdus Sattar of Gucchogream area of Gajaria in Munshiganj.
Muhammad Abul Basar, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dhaka Zila DB (North), said that on secret information, they conducted a drive at a rented house at Srikhandia area of Ashulia and detained them. After searching, they found 8500 pieces of Yaba tablets from their rooms.
A case was filed with Ashuliya Police Station in this connection.
