A Kishoreganj court on Sunday awarded ten years rigorous imprisonment to two persons in a murder case in Kishoreganj Sadar Upazila. Judge of Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Kiron Shankor Halder delivered the verdict.
The convicts are Abdul Malek Rony and Naimul Islam Babu of village Nagoua under Kishoreganj Sadar Upazila of the district.
The court also fined them Tk. 20 thousand each.
As per the prosecution, the convicts killed Aminul Islam over a previous enmity on March 12 in 2010.
The victim's father Md. Motiur Rahman filed a case against 13 people with Kishoreganj Model Police Station. After investigation, police submitted charge sheet against them. The court convicted two of them, while acquitted 11 others.
