2 die of Covid-19 in Sarishabari

Two more people, including a teacher, died of corona at Sarishabari in Jamalpur. Teacher Moin Uddin (55) and Tayez Ali (60) died at Mymensingh SK Hospital while undergoing treatment in isolation at Jamalpur Sheikh Hasina Medical College Hospital on Thursday.

The deceased Moin Uddin is the son of late Kadim Uddin of Maizbari village in Sarishabari municipality. He was an assistant teacher at Konabari Dakhil Madrasa in the upazila. 

Meanwhile, Tayez Ali is the son of late Suruj Ali of Kumlibari village. Moin Uddin died at around 11pm on Wednesday and Tayez Ali at around 3am on Thursday.

Sarisabari Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Gazi Rafiqul Haque said that Corona was identified in Moin Uddin’s body on July 1. He was later admitted to Jamalpur Sheikh Hasina Medical College Hospital in isolation.He died at 11 pm on Wednesday while undergoing treatment there. 

Besides, after collecting samples of Toyez Ali on June 25, his corona positive report came on June 29. On the same day, he was sent to Sheikh Hasina Medical College Hospital for treatment. 

When the situation deteriorated, he was sent to Mymensingh on 3 July. He died early Thursday night while undergoing treatment there. 

Sarishabari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shihab Uddin Ahmed said the necessary steps were taken as per the government instructions for burial of the deceased. The body of the deceased has been buried as per the hygiene rules through the concerned committee and volunteers.
