Bangladesh on Saturday registered 2,231 new cases of coronavirus and 32 deaths within 24 hours.
During the period till 8am, 2,027 patients were declared free from the pandemic virus.
With that, the total number of cases rose to 308,925, deaths 4,206 and recoveries 198,863, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The recovery rate is 64.37 percent while the death rate is 1.36 percent.
Some 11,689 samples were tested in 92 labs across the country during the period.
Of the latest fatalities, 11 of them hailed from Dhaka, nine from Chattogram, one from Khulna, five from Barishal, three each from Sylhet and Rangpur.
All of them have died in different hospitals.
Currently, 52,044 people are quarantined across Bangladesh – including 1,160 newly-quarantined individuals.
The authorities placed 565 new individuals suspected of having Covid-19 into isolation, bringing the total to 20,369 after 50,061 left.
Bangladesh has tested 1,525,815 samples for Covid-19 since January after the emergence of the new virus in China in December.
