A total of 19 new dengue patients were admitted to different hosptials in Jhenidah in last 72 hours, the civil surgeon office of Jhenidah confirmed the matter.
The hospital sources said the number of admitted patients were 20 including the newly admitted ones, while 15 left the hospital where they were feeling better.
However, Jhenidah civil surgeon Dr Salina Begum said the situation of dengue is now under control in the district as the people of the area are almost aware about their health.
Moreover, the health and family planning departmental activists have been conducting awareness among the people about dengue and their probable doings faster.
Civil surgeon said there is nothing to be worried as there is available arrangements in the sadar hospital where the physicians rendering services round the clock when a dengue patient is admitted.
Intensive care to the patient and intake of paracetamol variety of drug as advised by the physician might help reduce the complications, she added.
